Computer Science and Engineering is the discipline that seeks a scientific and engineering.
A project that blends traditional reading with augmented reality. Users can explore books on web and mobile, enjoy AR experiences, and benefit from features like OCR and voice assistance. Publishers can manage collections, and readers can filter books by preference.
This application takes care of all the tedious and error prone tasks done in postal offices to deliver maximum efficiency. It takes care of item labeling, tracking, inventory management, route planning and many other issues with its mobile and web applications.
This project aims to develop an intelligent and interactive chatbot system designed to enhance customer support services for users in native Sri Lankan languages (Sinhala or Tamil). Built using the Rasa framework, the solution leverages Llama2 to handle complex queries effectively. .
This project enhances bus arrival time predictions by incorporating novel features: topographical data (elevation and road geometry) and Points of Interest (tourist spots and healthcare facilities). Using XGBoost and LSTM models, we improved prediction accuracy and analyzed feature importance. The work was presented at IEEE ITSC 2024 in Edmonton.
Designed and built ‘Rabbit Robot’ and ‘Elephant Robot’ for the task of throwing flexible rings onto poles featuring dual microcontrollers on each robot for motion and arm control. Represented Sri Lanka at Asia Pacific RoboCon 2023 held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Rhino XR-1 is a full mechanical robot arm with 6 degrees of freedom. In this project, a digital interface was designed for this mechanical arm using forward kinematics so that it can be controlled remotely. This project was showcased at EXMO 2023 exhibition.
An automated ECG analysis tool for diagnosing cardiac anomalies. It uses a ResNet model for detection, delivering results with probabilities, descriptions, and treatment insights via a user-friendly interface.
The project tackled rising energy consumption from 5G technology by forecasting energy use to optimize network parameters and explore energy-saving methods. Using predictive models, it analyzed base station energy consumption, which accounts for over 70% of network energy use. The team also validated their models in a Zindi data science competition.
